As we dove into the R&D process for our natural face cream, we studied different Canadian therapeutic ingredients, so we can create a powerful and soothing face cream that will not only hydrate your skin, but also give it more elasticity and help its general well being.

As Canadians, we’re extremely lucky to live in an area of the world that’s flourishing in birch trees. You might ask yourself why are birch trees so incredible? Birch trees provide the perfect conditions for the growth of chaga, a miracle plant we’ve included in our face cream.

Chaga is one of the most powerful antioxidants on the planet. It has 15 times more antioxidants than wild blueberries, which are known as some of the most potent antioxidants on the planet. We added a concentrated chaga extract to our Face Cream so that you can get the benefits of chaga for your skin.

Chaga is a hard mushroom that grows on birch bark, beginning on the inside of the tree and eventually growing outwards until it can be seen on the outside. It can be harvested between the ages of 3 and 5 years old, and reharvested every 5 to 10 years. You’ll be blown away by the health properties of this super mushroom.

Not only is chaga high in antioxidants that help control the body’s natural oxidation process, chaga can help balance the immune system, revving it up when it has to and calming it when the immune system is working too hard.

Chaga is often ingested as an infusion, steeping pieces in hot water like a tea. It has a savory taste. It’s delicious with coffee or as a coffee replacement!

Aromatherapy is always present in what we do. We developed an earthy essential oil mix that will take you away on a chaga foraging adventure in the Canadian wilderness. We used carrot seed, rosemary, bergamot and parsley seed oils to get a calming effect while making sure that the cream’s scent didn’t linger all day.
